Cheese Glut!

The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post have taken on the next great American crisis of delicious proportions: “The Great Cheese Glut of 2016.”

Lane’s OpEd is on point. How exactly does one end up with a 1.19 billion pound cheese reserve? Government meddling, usually.  Elites in far off capitals – from Washington D.C. to Moscow – have created pronounced market inefficiencies through their ill-advised decision making.

At a minimum, it’s a reminder that cheese and dairy are not your run-of-the-mill products. The industry is heavily regulated and, all things considered, disproportionately subject to politicking.
