British aphorist G.K. Chesterton once lamented that “Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese.”  In truth, lawyers have not fared much better.

From the biggest blue chip corporation to the smallest family-owned farm, American Dairy is a multi-billion dollar enterprise.  Its regulatory schemes are unique and frequently Byzantine, and the rich legal landscape surrounding the industry is no less fascinating than that of wine itself.  Yet very little of substance can be found online discussing new and significant developments.

This blog represents an earnest, if meager, effort to fill that void by consolidating relevant legal news and analysis for industry insiders, legal practitioners, and the casual observer alike.
